Diet Secrets From the Past - Appetite Suppressants

Our Hunger Feelings and Feeling of Being Full

There is a chemical and mechanical mechanism in our brains and body that indicated to us (thought feelings) that we must stop eating.. It appears that obese people have problems with these feelings and their "appestat" (the mechanism) is somehow not working. When our appestats so work well, we know when to start and stop eating.

When to Eat

Contrary to custom, doctors and dieticians now are advising more smaller meals instead of the big basic three. This is because if you eat a small meal, the chemical and physical response goes to the brain and in effect, turns on our appestat. When the appestat is on, we normally stop eating. For one day, try this experiment. Eat when you are hungry only, but make it a small meal...and whatever it is, please include fruit and vegetables. You will see your hunger disappear 10 minutes after the meal, and you will not be hungry again for some 4 hours.

Hunger in General

Often during the day we get pangs of hunger. Is it hunger? Perhaps and quite often, it is just being thirsty. Try drinking a glass of water. Wait 5 minutes. If you are not really hungry, you were just thirty. If you continue to be hungry and its not really time to eat, see the secret below.

Buy or have ready, some raw and unsalted peanuts. Eat a few, chewing slowly, and then drink a cup of unsweetened coffee or tea. In only 5 minutes (and watch your clock) you can see your hunger pangs completely disappear, You have added only a paltry 20 calories to your diet, but are free from hunger for at least 2 hours. This diet secret works always and for everyone. You must wait your 5 minutes however, and then forget about your hunger and occupy your mind with work or other activity

The pangs of hunger do not really arrive suddenly and certainly do not leave suddenly, but gradually. Try the thirst test first. If you really are hungry, and its not time to eat, try the secret. You will be very pleased at the result
